This is a picture of my nephew-dog, Chancellor, relaxing on the couch with one of my aunts' cats, Maurice. Note that Chancie's paw is resting over Mo-Mo's body. Too cute!

I was talking on the phone while laying on the couch. Both animals ended up joining me on the couch. Initially, I was tucked under the blankets with Maurice curled up along my upper body and Chancellor resting against my legs. I remember seeing them there, both falling asleep, and told myself I just had to get a picture of the two cuties. I tried my darndest to extricate myself from the blankets without disturbing either of them, but, alack alas! Once I got up to get the digital camera, the animals snapped fully alert, were curious as to my intentions, and shifted their positions.

I must admit that once I had the camera ready to use, I positioned Chancellor and Maurice closer together on the couch. If you had seen me try to maneuver this  large, heavy dog and this tiny-compared-to-him cat, you would have laughed at my earliest attempts. They also kept trying to change positions on me. Maurice was not really paying Chancellor much attention, but I suspect that Chancie was dubious that "cat" didn't equal "huge, ferocious lionhearted beast with fearsome claws to rend him apart." Even though Chancellor is not a tiny dog by far, he is pretty timid when it comes to kitty cats. All-in-all, here is one of the results of my not being able to resist trying to get a shot of the two of them together.
